What: Tibetan Global Day of Action Rally

When: Monday, March 31, 2008. Gather at 10 AM

Where: Masaryk Park (beside the Masaryk Recreation Centre in Parkdale)

We will gather on Masaryk Park, just south of Queen St. on Cowan Ave, at 10am and leave for the City Hall by rallying on Queen St. Our emphasis for this rally is to make it as visually stunning as possible -- through art and street theatre -- so that the media will have another aspect of our struggle to report about.

What once used to be the symbol of fairness and equality, the Olympic torch, has now been marred by the blood of Tibetans rising up against the cruel oppression of the Chinese govt. The people of Canada and the world will know of this fact through our persistent and creative actions.

With the unprecedented numbers and the media participation we had at our last rally on Sunday in T.O., the Tibetan issue is as high as it has ever been internationally. Let's keep the pressure on China and IOC, and join the hundreds of other protests that will happen simultaneously throughout the world.
